UPA's Programs & Events are designed to bring industry members together to stay current on emerging issues, have interaction with government and regulatory officials, and have opportunities to meet and network with other industry professionals. In addition to UPA's significant network of committees that meet regularly, we offer additional opportunities throughout the year to gather in both informative and enjoyable activities.
Join us for UPA’s 2017 Annual Meeting scheduled for Monday & Tuesday, January 16-17, at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City. UPA’s Annual Meeting gathers representatives from all aspects of Utah’s oil and gas industry. Invited to join us for the event are elected officials including Congressional Members and staffers, Governor and staff, Utah Legislators, County Commissioners as well as federal, state and local regulatory agencies. Annual Meeting Events include a Welcome Reception & Dinner, Membership Breakfast, Issues Breakout Sessions for both the Upstream and Downstream sectors and a Closing Luncheon.
Please mark your calendars for UPA’s 2017 Charity Golf Classic scheduled for Thursday, August 3 at both the Soldier Hollow Golf Course and Wasatch Mountain Golf Course in Midway. This popular industry event brings Utah’s oil and gas industry together for a great day of golf, but more importantly, to raise money for local Utah charities. UPA Members recognize the importance and value of being good neighbors and supporting the communities where we operate. All net proceeds of the event are donated to the charities, so please be generous in your sponsorships!
As development has increased in the Uinta Basin, so has the need to reach out to the the local community to answer important questions about the industry and help bring a level of comfort with what the industry does and represents in Uintah and Duchesne Counties. UPA, and Member Companies, are committed to be good neighbors and work to build and maintain the relationships that will allow our industry to flourish and provide the jobs and economic development the Basin needs in a way that local residents understand and accept. For that purpose, we've instituted a series of quarterly Community Outreach Forums to bring industry and the community together to talk about the important issues we all face.
UPA’s Member CONNECT Luncheons are offered to bring UPA Members together to hear and learn about important issues facing Utah’s petroleum industries. These forums also provide a great opportunity to spend time with other industry members and learn about each other’s businesses.
